DAVIDSON – Saying he offers leadership, experience and a pro-business voice, Cornelius Commissioner John R. Bradford III on Friday formally kicked off his campaign for the N.C. House of Representatives District 98 seat. He made the announcement at a rally at North Harbor Club in Davidson, where he was surrounded by Town Board colleagues, business leaders, members of his campaign committee, and family, including his wife, Shea, and three of their four children. CORNELIUS – It’s a new year, with new faces on area town boards. Former NAACP president and CEO Benjamin T. Jealous is scheduled to speak at Davidson College next Tuesday, Jan. 21, as part of the college’s Martin Luther King Day observance. Two-term Cornelius Commissioner John Bradford says he’ll run for the 98th District statehouse seat of House Speaker Thom Tillis (R-Cornelius), who is stepping down to run for U.S. Senate.
