Davidson firefighters helped seven other area fire departments fight a four-home fire off Poplar Tent Road, in Cabarrus County, on Monday. They also helped Cornelius with an incident at the Foamex plant in Cornelius after a diesel motor overheated. Davidson and Cornelius firefighters were called to the FXI Foamex Innovations plant on N.C. 115 in Cornelius Monday morning around 10:45 after a diesel motor overheated during a weekly test of the plant’s fire suppression system. Read the full story
