Along with utility belt, badge, and radio, Davidson police officers now carry another tool on patrol – a chest-mounted camera. Officers themselves asked for the new equipment, and while town officials see the cameras as a way to increase transparency and provide useful evidence, police also acknowledge they could raise privacy concerns.
At a presentation about the cameras at Tuesday’s town board meeting, Police Chief Jeanne Miller explained that officers are already accustomed to being recorded. Read the full story
