Davidson College has suspended football quarterback J.P. Douglas indefinitely and is considering further action after he was charged with stabbing another student at an on-campus senior apartment over the weekend.

The quarterback for the Davidson College football team was charged with assault with a deadly weapon early Sunday after an altercation with another student on campus overnight.
The college released few details of the incident, saying only that two students were involved and that it happened in their campus housing.
