Practice burn in Mount Mourne

The Mount Mourne Volunteer Fire Department burned a home north of Davidson, at N.C. 115 and Fairview Road, for training on Saturday, May 22. Mount Mourne Volunteer Fire Department said the home had been vacant for years and the property owners offered it to the department for training. Photographer Rachel Goldstein was there to capture the scene.

For the seventh year, Davidson College Presbyterian Church Weekday Preschool celebrated spring with a butterfly release on the church steps Wednesday.
