LAKE NORMAN – Some of the world’s top professional wakeboarders will be on Lake Norman this weekend, competing in the second of eight stops on the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour. An orange-shirted army of students from 

The weather was perfect Thursday afternoon for the 23rd annual Business After Hours networking reception at the EnergyExplorium, at Duke Energy’s McGuire Nuclear Station on Lake Norman. The event brought businesspeople from Mecklenburg, Iredell and Lincoln counties.
Thursday was the annual butterfly release a Davidson College Presbyterian Church Weekday Preschool. Organizers managed to come up with a record 100 butterflies to release, as kids sang songs and wore butterfly hats and masks. DavidsonNews.net’s Gayle Shomer was there to record the scene.
