Last July 4, Stephanie and Bill Trull put up an American flag on the small shoal on Lake Davidson near their Exit 30 area condo. It later disappeared, so this weekend they replaced it with a new one. An old tree fell across part of Grey Road in Davidson Friday around 11am after a brief and windy storm blew through the area.

One lane was blocked briefly, but firefighters from Davidson and Cornelius quickly cleared the obstacle.

An NC Department of Transportation crew was on the Griffith Street bridge over I-77 Thursday for a minor project that’s a major deal to residents: patching potholes on the overpass.

One lane of the bridge was closed for the work, which the DOT described as “routine maintenance.”

Staff, contractors and volunteers on Tuesday celebrated the opening of newly renovated health services offices at the Ada Jenkins Center in Davidson. The more than $65,000 project was completed with the help of local Rotary clubs, architects and contractors and volunteers. Read the full story

MOORESVILLE – Saturday’s grand opening marked another milestone at the 60-acre LangTree Lake Norman development off I-77 Exit 31. A half-dozen businesses have opened and more are on the way, from restaurants to a movie theater to a 12-story DoubleTree convention hotel.
