Harry C. (Buck) Knox Jr., a longtime north Mecklenburg farmer and church elder, died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, Nov. 7. He was 89. Visiting hours are planned Sunday at Raymer Funeral Home. A funeral is planned Monday at 11 a.m. at Bethel Presbyterian Church. He lived in Mooresville at the time of his death with his loving wife Edna R. Knox.

Jane Puckett Wayland of Cornelius died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at Presbyterian Hospital. A native of Mecklenburg County’s Long Creek community, she was married to the Rev. J.E.
