Cannon School broke ground on its new auditorium and performing arts center on June 4. CONCORD – More than 300 students, teachers and friends of Cannon School attended the groundbreaking celebration for the school’s new auditorium and performing arts center on Tueaday, June 4. The private school off Poplar Tent Road is in the midst of a planned $7 million Building Bright Futures Campaign, which will add arts, athletic and Middle School facilities for the school’s 925 junior kindergarten through 12th grade students.

To clear up misconceptions and eradicate stigmas associated with mental health, a group of students at Woodlawn School wrapped up an elective called “Movies & Medicine” by producing a public service announcement that has won national attention. LAKE NORMAN – Some of the world’s top professional wakeboarders will be on Lake Norman this weekend, competing in the second of eight stops on the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour.
