How do you end the digital divide, that gap between those connected to the digital world and those on the backroads? The first step is to get computers into the hands of those who need them. The essential next step is to support these news users with advice and training. That’s what Davidson College students are doing this weekend in Davidson and Cornelius, through a new initiative called E2D, Eliminate the Digital Divide.



Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools superintendent Heath Morrison will be at Davidson College Presbyterian Church Sunday to help kick off a new year of educational ministry, and to explore how churches and schools can collaborate. Meanwhile, Gethsemane Baptist Church in Davidson will host a back to school event Saturday, and Christ the King Catholic High School will host a ribbon cutting at its new school, also Saturday.
