2 DIE IN CONCORD SHOOTING
Police and emergency medical personnel were dispatched around 3:15 to 482 Gibson Dr. NW in Concord, to investigate a report of a shooting. They found three people there with gunshot wounds.
A man and a woman were dead at the scene. Another man was transported to Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast with injuries described as non-life threatening.
Police said later this afternoon they believe “all people involved in the situation have been accounted for.”
No further information was expected to be released Tuesday. Police said their investigation is at a “very early stage.”
MORE CHARGES FOR FORMER CHARTER SCHOOL OFFICIAL
A former community school of Davidson official has been charged with two more felony counts of indecent liberties with a child, bringing the total to three since his is arrest June 11.
Kevin Green, 45, was charged on June 20 and again on June 27 as Cornelius police investigate the case.
Green is free after posting a total of $85,000 in bond. He’s due in Mecklenburg County superior court Wednesday on the first charge.
Green had been director of business, facilities and personnel at Community School of Davidson. He announced his resignation from the charter school in April, and had planned to work until the end of the school year. But when school officials learned he was under investigation, they put him on paid administrative leave for the rest of the year, and banned him from setting foot on the campus.
Police and school officials say the charge is unrelated to his work at the charter school.
