More than 750 people responded to the Town of Davidson’s recent online survey seeking feedback on conditions for biking and walking in town. Davidson officials say those responses are part of the mix as consultants and officials drafted the proposed Pedestrian Master Plan, which will be presented at a joint meeting of the Davidson Planning Board and Davidson Livability Board Tuesday, May 21.
The meeting is at 7pm, at Town Hall, 216 S. Main St. Consultants from Alta Planning + Design will present the plan and recommendations, followed by public discussion. It’s open to the public.
Town officials have said the plan is looking at walking, biking and transit, and that it “will become our map to complete the necessary town-wide infrastructure improvements and policies and programs to make Davidson truly walkable and bikable for all our citizens.”
