It’s strawberry season. How do we know? The Davidson Farmer’s Market was serving up lots of succulent red (and locally grown) berries topped with whipped cream Saturday during its annual Strawberry Shortcake Day fundraiser. A dish was $5, with proceeds helping to pay for market operations.
The Market is open every Saturday 8am to noon, with more than 35 local vendors selling a wide variety of producer-only goods. Cooking demonstrations, live music, special events, Growing Kids Club and other children’s activities are planned throughout the season.
