Policing at the community level has changed dramatically in recent years, Davidson Police Chief Jeanne Miller says.
“The days of getting behind a cruiser wheel and driving aimlessly down streets (are) over,” she said in a recent interview with members of the Davidson Think Tank.
The group is continuing its exploration of local people and issues this month with a video interview with Chief Miller, who has led the department since 2005. She came to Davidson after a career that included time as a police investigator in Detroit.
The video is in two parts, with Part 1 embedded here. Links to both parts on Facebook are below.
The Davidson Think Tank members are residents Paul Studmann, David Sitton, Robert Lee and Paul Miller. They produce events and videos on community issues, including politics, Davidson College, and local affairs.
