A 45-year-old Davidson man remains in Mecklenburg County Jail this week after police arrested him Nov. 26 on a charge of felony breaking and entering, with force. Police said the charges are related to a break-in two days earlier at Lake Norman Realty on South Main Street. Meanwhile, police are investigating several reports of damaged property this week, including vandalism at a construction site on Stuttgart Road where someone broke the windows out of two John Deere tractors. And a Bobcat tractor valued at $8,000 was stolen from a construction site on Amalfi Drive. MONDAY, NOV. 26, 12:02 p.m., 800 Beaty St., Ingersoll-Rand – Police are investigating hit and run wreck, in which major damage to a golf cart was noted in a loading zone at the Ingersoll Rand complex. Total damage to the golf cart (which was owned by a contracted firm called The Budd Group) was estimated at $3,600.
MONDAY, NOV. 26, 200 block of Lakeside Ave. , West Side – Police arrested a 45-year-old Rodney Thomas of Davidson a warrant charging him with felony breaking and entering, with force. Police said the charges were related to a Nov. 24 break-in at Lake Norman Realty, 310 South Main Street. In that incident, a door was broken, resulting in $500 damage. The following day, Mr. Thomas also was charged with larceny under $50. As of Friday, Dec.7, he remained in Mecklenburg County Jail in Charlotte. Bail was set at $25,000 on the two charges.
WEDNESDAY, NOV. 28, 11:17 a.m., 215 S. Main St., Flatiron Kitchen + Taphouse – Police are investigating a case of fraud in which an unknown suspect spent $200 using the victim’s debit card.
THURSDAY, NOV. 29, 7:54 a.m., 700 block of Amalfi Drive – Police are investigating a case of theft in which an unknown suspect stole a Bobcat skid-steer tractor valued at $8,000 from a construction site.
THURSDAY, NOV. 29, 1:39 p.m., 635 South St., Davidson Elementary School – Police responded to a report that a school staff member had been assaulted by a student. The student reportedly grabbed the staff member’s hand, causing minor injury.
MONDAY, DEC. 3, 7:43 a.m., 17800 block of Stuttgart Road – Police are investigating a case of vandalism in which an unknown suspect broke multiple windows out of the cabs of two John Deere excavators owned by Bruton Grading Co. Total combined damage to the heavy equipment was estimated at $3,560.

- GRIFFITH STREET – 1 arrest for driving while license revoked and possession of a schedule II narcotic. 1 citation for speeding and 1 for failing to produce a driver’s license
- GROCERY LANE – 1 citation for failing to stop at a stop sign
