Friday night’s annual Downtown Davidson Halloween March drew another big crowd of Spidermen, Captain Americas, princesses and witches to Main Street Davidson.
Our favorite costumes of the day were a few home-made offerings, led one little fell who came as the planet Saturn. His mom told us she made the planet by wrapping papier-mache around her Pilates workout ball. Cheers for that one.
We’re not sure how many kids and parents there were, but we gave out nearly 800 pieces of candy at the DavidsonNews.net/ CorneliusNews.net table in front of Davidson Post Office. Check out Kris Krider’s photo of the line outside the Soda Shop.
Businesses both on and off Main Street handed out candy and coupons. And there was fundraising, too: Cookies for Kids Cancer was out there raising money with a table of home-made cookies.
Kids weren’t the only ones who dressed up. We saw dogs in costume, and grownups as ghosts and witches. Here are a few snapshots from the evening.
