Davidson police are asking for help in finding a 27-year-old Cornelius man who has been identified as a suspect in a car theft and a series of car break-ins in town 10 days ago. Police also are looking for a woman who may be with him, and think the pair may be hiding out in Gaston County.
Police have obtained warrants for the arrest of Marcus Tyler Holloway on charges that include larceny of a motor vehicle and breaking and entering into a motor vehicle. Mr. Holloway also is considered a suspect in nearly two-dozen vehicle break-ins in Davidson area the weekend of Oct. 7-8.In an alert Thursday, police also said they’re looking for Brittany Sherrill, who is described as “another person of interest in these break-ins.” Police don’t have warrants for her arrest, but would like to question her.
Investigators say Mr. Holloway and Ms. Sherrill may be hiding out in the Mount Holly and Belmont areas of Gaston County, and they are warning people to not approach them.
Mr. Holloway has been arrested on similar charges several times over the past year. They include charges related to auto break-ins in Cornelius.
