The Children’s Schoolhouse 31st Annual Fall Carnival will fill the Davidson Village Green this Saturday, Oct. 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
As many as 3,000 people are expected for the day of games (such as the Cake Walk), live entertainment, crafts, face and hair painting, food and drink. Most games are $1 to $5. A silent auction and raffle also will help raise money – the raffle prize is a year’s supply of organic dairy products from Organic Valley.
The Children’s Schoolhouse is a nonprofit, cooperative preschool for 3, 4, and 5 year olds. Part of the money raised from the event helps to fund scholarships for families in need and supports our community service projects.
Housed in a renovated 1925 school on Caldwell Station Road, off NC 115 in Huntersville, the Children’s Schoolhouse is operated by the parents. The curriculum is based on The Open Door School prototype program that offers a child-directed, multi-age learning environment.
