The Business Center at South Main Square in Davidson will host a talk Wednesday by author and former White House Chief Information Officer Theresa Peyton on internet security for businesses and families.
Her talk is Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m. at the Business Center at South Main Square, 442 S. Main St., Davidson.
Ms. Payton will share her knowledge about cyber criminals and offer ways to protect your small business from the havoc they can wreak. She’ll also share some important tips for parents and teens.
This event is free and open to the public.
CHRISTMAS IN DAVIDSON COMING
The 25th anniversary of Christmas in Davidson is scheduled Nov. 29 and 30 and Dec. 1 in downtown Davidson. Organizers are now accepting applications for participants, including entertainers, vendors, food sales and sponsors.

“This is Christmas in Davidson’s 25th anniversary, so we’re really excited about celebrating the holiday season in Davidson this year,” Kim Fleming, Davidson’s Community and Economic Development Manager, said in a press release.
Sponsorship is available at several levels: Star $5,000, Angel $2,500, Wreath $1,500, Candy Cane $1,000, Elf $500, Reindeer: $250.
“Each year, our attendance at Christmas in Davidson rises, and we expect this to be our best year yet,” Ms. Fleming said.
