
Police are investigating a number of thefts this week ranging from debit card fraud on Rose Glenn Lane to a “smash and grab” larceny from a vehicle parked at the River Run Tennis Center. Officers responded to the country club at around 8pm on Sunday after a suspect allegedly driving a silver 2010 Chevrolet Malibu sedan with tinted windows and a Tennessee license plate smashed the window of an Infiniti G37 and stole a Coach purse valued at $200 and a Blackberry smartphone from inside.

FRIDAY, AUG. 31, 12:28 p.m., 15900 block of Rose Glenn Lane – Police are investigating a case of fraud in which an unknown suspect completed a $585.93 transaction with the victim’s debit card without her consent.
FRIDAY, AUG. 31, 11:00 p.m., 17000 block of River Ford Drive – A juvenile male suspect stole the key to the 45-year-old male victim’s 2010 Nissan Maxima valued at $15,000, then stole the vehicle. This case has been closed because the victim chose not to prosecute once the vehicle was recovered.
SATURDAY, SEP. 1, 7:22 p.m., 17700 block of River Ford Drive – As reported last week, a Davidson man driving a 2001 Volvo ran off of the right side of the road and struck a mailbox valued at $200. The driver continued and lost control of the vehicle soon after, spinning 180-degrees in the road before striking a tree on the opposite side of the road at approximately 35 mph. The driver was arrested for DWI, and total damage to the vehicle was estimated at $4,000. Officers on the scene seized alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, and drug paraphernalia from inside the vehicle. SATURDAY, SEP. 8, 8:49 p.m., 400 block of Woodland Street – Police are investigating a damage to property report in which an unknown suspect damaged a piece of electronic equipment valued at $30,000.
SUNDAY, SEP. 9, 7:50 p.m., 18801 Greyton Lane, River Run Tennis Center parking lot – Police are investigating a case of larceny in which an unknown suspect stole a Coach purse valued at $200, a Blackberry smartphone, and an Applebee’s gift card from a parked Infiniti G37. The vehicle sustained $500 in damage during the larceny. An email circulated by the River Run Country Club also states that the suspect was believed to be seen driving a silver 2010 Chevrolet Malibu sedan with tinted windows and a Tennessee license plate.
