Davidson-Cornelius Child Development Center is a state certified five-star education program at 242 Gamble St., in Davidson. It provides early childhood education and child care on a sliding scale of fees, depending on income. After school care formerly was offered up to age 7, but now has been expanded to age 12.
The center is unique in the Lake Norman area for offering not only a high-level education, but also a bilingual program in English and Spanish. Its main program serves children age 12 months to 6 years (pre-K), and in the past year has been expanding its services. In 2012, it will begin offering infant care for up to 16 infants.
