Area conservation agencies are planning a joint meeting Monday, Sept. 10, to evaluate the current conditions of natural resources in Cabarrus and Mecklenburg counties, and to identify where conservation efforts are most needed.

The meeting of the Natural Resources Conservation Service, Cabarrus County Soil & Water Conservation District and Mecklenburg Soil & Water Conservation District is Sept. 10, 10 a.m. to noon, at Cabarrus County Soil & Water Conservation District office, 715 Cabarrus Ave. West, Concord.

Organizers say the meeting develop conservation priorities to help the agencies with future plans and projects.
