A large turnout of Davidson citizens and businesspeople gathered at Roosevelt Wilson Park Tuesday evening for the annual National Night Out, a community cookout and crime prevention festival. They enjoyed hamburgers and hot dogs with all the fixin’s plus soda, chips and ice cream sandwiches.
The rain held off as families and friends visited with Davidson policemen at tables placed under the gazebo and surrounding the playground. Many thanks to Carlos Springs who provided the grill and Nick Lyssikatos, owner of Brickhouse Tavern, who provided the meat. The Davidson Police hosted the community event to raise awareness of crime prevention.
