Traffic on South Main Street came to a halt around 7 p.m. Tuesday night when a large oak tree toppled across the road. Davidson police and firefighters were on the scene shortly after to control traffic and remove the limbs. Power reportedly was knocked out in the area, including to the Twin Oaks neighborhood, off South Main Street.
