
Police are investigating a string of vehicle break-ins early Friday, June 29. Officers received reports on Pine Road beginning around 7:35 a.m. and continued near Woodland Street and Lorimer Road in the hours that followed. Also this week, a 23-year-old woman reported losing almost $4,000 worth of camera equipment, and police met with the mother of a 14-year-old girl who was allegedly sexually assaulted. FRIDAY, JUNE 29, 3:17 a.m., 200 block of Delburg Street – Police are investigating a case of damage to personal property in which the victim’s boyfriend damaged the passenger side mirror of her 2006 Cadillac CTS. Total damage to the vehicle was estimated at $200.
FRIDAY, JUNE 29, 7:35 a.m., 300 block of Pine Road – Police are investigating a case of breaking and entering in which an unknown suspect stole a laptop computer and an iPod from inside an unlocked vehicle that was parked in front of a residence. The total combined value of the items stolen was estimated at $1,000.
FRIDAY, JUNE 29, 7:47 a.m., 200 block of Pine Road – Police are investigating another case of breaking and entering into a vehicle, but no items were reported stolen.
FRIDAY, JUNE 29, 8:11 a.m., 200 block of Pine Road – Police are investigating a third case of breaking and entering into a vehicle on Pine Road, but no items were reported stolen in this instance, either.
FRIDAY, JUNE 29, 8:32 a.m., 300 block of Woodland Street – Police are investigating a case of breaking and entering into a vehicle via an unlocked door while the car was parked in front of a residence. No items were reported missing.
FRIDAY, JUNE 29, 9:03 a.m., 200 block of Lorimer Road – Police are investigating a case of breaking and entering in which an unknown suspect stole an iPod valued at $200 from inside of an unlocked vehicle that was parked in front of a residence.
FRIDAY, JUNE 29, 9:37 a.m., Davidson Gateway Drive at Griffith Street – A Mooresville woman driving a 2010 Toyota sideswiped another Mooresville woman’s parked 1998 Lexus. The Lexus was not occupied at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported. Total combined damaged to the vehicles was estimated at $950.
FRIDAY, JUNE 29, 4:01 p.m., Griffith Street, Sadler Square – A Mooresville man driving 2002 Ford backed into a Cornelius woman’s parked 1996 Honda, causing minor damage to the Ford and approximately $950 in damage to the Lexus. No injuries were reported.
FRIDAY, JUNE 29, 9:35 p.m., 644 Davidson Gateway Drive, Rushco Davidson Market – Officers responded to a report of trespassing. Upon speaking with the cashier, police were informed that a known 54-year-old male suspect who was formerly charged with trespassing on the property returned to the business and entered the building to pay for fuel.
SATURDAY, JUNE 30, 4:27 p.m., 100 block of South Main Street – Police received a report from a 23-year-old woman that she had lost her cameras and other photography equipment valued at almost $4,000.
SUNDAY, JULY 1, 216 South Main Street, Davidson Police Department – Police met with the mother of a 14-year-old girl who was reportedly sexually assaulted at another location.

- GRIFFITH STREET – 1 arrest for larceny, 16 citations for speeding, 2 for expired registration, 1 for driving while license revoked, and 1 for passing on the right
- INTERSTATE-77 - 1 citation for speeding
- JETTON STREET - 1 citation for failing to stop at a stop sign
- MAIN STREET - 1 citation for speeding
- ROBERT WALKER DRIVE - 1 citation for failing to stop at a stop sign and 4 for speeding
- WESTSIDE TERRACE - 1 arrest for DWI, communicating threats, and assaulting a female
