Duke Energy employees braved Friday’s heat during a volunteer work day at Ada Jenkins Center in Davidson. The volunteers posed after helping to clean out the center’s basement and buying and spreading rubberized mulch. The playground has never had rubberized mulch before, according to Ada Jenkins officials.
