A man under investigation by Davidson police over an April sexual assault has been arrested again, in Cabarrus County. Cabarrus Sheriff’s deputies this week arrested the 36-year-old man on charges of threatening his ex-wife and children in Midland, and again two days later on charges of intimidating a witness. Also this week, an outboard motor was stolen from a boat docked in the Davidson Pointe neighborhood. MONDAY, JUNE 4, 1:10 p.m., 125 Harbour Place Drive, Homewood Suites – An officer responded to a report of property damage in which a male suspect damaged a large decorative mirror inside of the hotel and refused to pay for the damages. The mirror was valued at $1,000.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 6, 11:50 a.m., 200 block of Lavender Bloom Loop, Davidson Pointe – Police are investigating a case of property damange. A 42-year-old woman told police her former roommate, a 44-year-old man, poured a flammable substance over her belongings that were waiting to be picked up by movers. Total combined damage to the items was estimated at $500.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 6, 9:15 p.m., Concord Road and Kimberly Road – Police arrested a 40-year-old male for possession of marijuana and narcotics paraphernalia while conducting a driver’s license checkpoint. The driver was also found to be driving under the influence of alcohol and was charged with DWI.
THURSDAY, JUNE 7, 11:06 a.m., 800 block of Cotton Gin Alley – A 61-year-old female reported that an unknown suspect scratched the paint on the passenger’s side rear quarter panel of her Honda Accord. There was no entry into the vehicle, but total damage to the vehicle was estimated at $400.
THURSDAY, JUNE 7, 5:08 p.m., Delburg Street at Shorecrest Drive – A Davidson man’s parked, unoccupied 2010 Hyundai was struck on the left rear side by an unknown vehicle, causing $1,500 in damage. The offending driver fled the scene.
THURSDAY, JUNE 7, 11:55 p.m., 644 Davidson Gateway Drive, Rushco Davidson Market – An unknown suspect entered the convenience store and stole two lottery tickets valued at $20 each from the lottery ticket dispenser.
FRIDAY, JUNE 8, 8:43 a.m., Concord Road at Faculty Drive – A Kannapolis man driving a 2004 Mazda rear-ended a Davidson man’s 2002 Chevrolet at approximately 15 mph when the Chevrolet stopped to allow a pedestrian to cross at a crosswalk. The driver of the Mazda told police that his foot slipped off of the brake pedal, leading to the accident. Total combined damage to the vehicles was estimated at $5,000.
SATURDAY, JUNE 9, 1:22 p.m., Griffith Street at Beaty Street – A Davidson man driving a 2007 Jeep rear-ended a Davidson woman driving a 2011 Volkswagen at approximately 5 mph while both vehicles slowed to make a left turn onto Beaty Street at the traffic light. Total damage to the Volkswagen was estimated at $100.
SATURDAY, JUNE 9, 9:12 p.m., Brickwood Circle, Midland, Cabarrus County – After a call from Davidson police, Cabarrus County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 36-year-old Edward Timmons on charges of communicating threats towards his ex-wife. The 34-year-old woman called a Davidson detective to say that Timmons told her he was on his way over to her home to kill her and the children with her. Two days later, Timmons also was charged with intimidating a witness, a felony. He was being held on $301,000 bond at Cabarrus County Jail, awaiting a June 18 court date on the charges. Davidson police also are investigating Mr. Timmons in an April sexual assault.
SUNDAY, JUNE 10, 12:25 a.m., Torrence Chapel Road at Knox Road, Cornelius – A Cornelius police cruiser rolled into the back of a Huntersville woman’s 2005 Ford, causing approximately $200 in damage to the Ford. A police officer had pulled over the Huntersville woman and was speaking with her when the incident occurred.
SUNDAY, JUNE 10, 12:19 p.m., 100 block of Sweet Magnolia Court, Davidson Pointe – Police are investigating a case of theft in which an unknown suspect cut the lock off of the victim’s boat and stole its outboard motor. The boat was moored to the dock at the time of the incident, and the outboard motor was valued at $2,000.

- CONCORD ROAD – 1 arrest for DWI, possession of of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia
- DEPOT STREET - 1 citation for expired registration/inspection
- GRIFFITH STREET - 4 citations for speeding, 1 for improper passing, 1 for no headlights, 2 for expired registration, 1 for no operator’s license, and 1 for driving while license revoked
- I-77 - 1 arrest for DWI
