An opening reception is planned Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Davidson Town Hall for “The Beautiful World of Watercolor,” an exhibit of paintings by artist Jim Kerr and his students.
The exhibit will feature a collection of student and instructor artwork. Several of the students are new to watercolor, while others have been Mr. Kerr’s students for years. While students have the freedom to paint whatever they wish, they often focus on landscapes, light houses, florals and portraits.
The exhibit will run June 15-29, available for viewing weekdays during Town Hall business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday’s opening reception will include refreshments.
Watercolor classes are offered throughout the year. For information, visit www.d-Recs.org or call the Parks & Recreation office at 704-892-3349.
