
Heath Morrison
The Charlotte Mecklenburg school board on Tuesday approved a 4-year contract with new superintendent Heath Morrison. Mr. Morrison, who is currently superintendent in Reno, Nev., starts work in Charlotte on July 1.
The deal pays Mr. Morrison a base salary of $288,000 annually, plus up to a 10 percent performance bonus. The district also will contribute a retirement account every year, up to 10 percent of his base salary, and provide other benefits, including a car. CMS said the contract is comparable
CMS also agreed to pay for Mr. Morrison’s move from Nevada, as well as temporary housing up to 3 months.
