Mark Sullivan - Toadstool at Fisher Farm Park

This toadstool popped out of the underbrush just off the mountain bike trails at Fisher Farm Park last week. Mark Sullivan, who helps maintain the trails and runs The Cycle Path in Cornelius, put his camera on the ground and grabbed a shot. He said it was about 3.5 to 4 inches tall. Is it the weather? The season? A couple of our readers found fungi in their wanderings recently. Have a look.
