Christmas in Davidson seeks participants; Town Hall on Twitter

Applications are now available online for the Town of Davidson’s annual community Christmas event, Christmas in Davidson, which will run this year from Thursday to Saturday, Dec. 1-3. The festivities will be from 6 to 9 p.m. nightly. Also, Town Hall is now on Twitter!
Since 1988, Christmas in Davidson has kicked off the holidays for visitors and residents alike. The event is the town’s largest and most popular festival of the year, drawing crowds of 20,000-plus people over three nights.
If you’re interested in getting involved in Christmas in Davidson 2011, participant applications are now available online and in print form. Click here to access to those forms, visit www.ci.davidson.nc.us/cid or simply visit the homepage of the town’s website and click on the “Christmas in Davidson 2011″ purple button on the left-hand side of your screen.
The deadline for applications for participants this year is Oct. 25. Sponsorship forms are also still available through Oct. 7.

EXHIBIT AT TOWN HALL
A group exhibit of photography and digital art by local artists is now open at Davidson Town Hall, 216 S. Main St., Davidson. A reception with the artists is planned Friday, Oct. 7, 5-7 p.m. The show includes works by six local artists: Kevin Childress, Jan Black, Lyndsay Kibiloski, Rachel Goldstein, Steve Marsh, and David Boraks.
