Wouldn't this carrot cake make a great Cake Walk prize?
Organizers say this is an important fund-raiser for the school, and in some past years, they’ve run out of cakes hours before Town Day ends. Every cake helps.
What’s the Cake Walk? It’s a bit like musical chairs: Players in the traditional Town Day game walk in a circle while music plays. When it stops, they stop on a numbered spot. A number is drawn from a hat corresponding to one of the spots, and that person gets his or her pick of a cake.
Town Day is this Saturday, May 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Village Green in downtown Davidson. Read more in The Guide, “Davidson Town Day schedule Saturday May 7.”
