Charlotte-Area Transit System issued a Riders Alert Monday reminding commuters on the 77x express bus from Davidson not to park at Sadler Square off Griffith Street.
Parking is allowed on Griffith Street near Sadler Square, off I-77 Exit 30. In December, CATS and the Town of Davidson also announced they were adding commuter parking in the Exit 30 area because of the demise of the 83x bus from Mooresville.
Commuter parking spaces are now available on Lake Cornelius Boulevard and Davidson Gateway Drive, off Griffith Street behind the Davidson Clinic building. (See “As Mooresville’s 83x bus ends, CATS adds Exit 30 parking.”)
CATS ANNOUNCEMENT
Here’s the text of the CATS Rider’s Alert on Monday, April 25:
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
ROUTE 77x PARK AND RIDE OPTIONS
The Charlotte Area Transit System is pleased to provide park and ride options for customers who use the 77x North Meck Express. Parking is available at the new Davidson-Gateway Park and Ride, at public parking spaces along Griffith Street in Davidson, across from the Cornelius Town Hall, and at the Northcross Park and Ride lot.
Customers should know that CATS has not reached an agreement for parking at Sadler Square. The owner of this property has indicated that CATS customers are not permitted to park at that location, and that they risk being towed if they do park there.
CATS does not want that to happen, and has developed this notice to make its customers aware of the issues at Sadler Square.
