The Davidson Lands Conservancy (DLC) invites you to sample an array of North Carolina wines, beers, and hard ciders on Friday, April 29, 7 – 9 p.m. at its second annual Toast the Earth event at the Wooden Stone Gallery, 455 S. Main Street, Davidson.
Toast the Earth is a fund-raiser for DLC, Davidson’s own land trust whose mission is to protect natural areas and open space in and around Davidson. The wines, beers, and ciders selected are produced by area vineyards and breweries and are available locally at the Wooden Stone Gallery and Flatiron Kitchen + Taphouse in Davidson.
“This is our second Toast the Earth,” said DLC vice president Rodney Graham. “We are pleased that this year it will be held at the Wooden Stone Gallery and that the Flatiron, an outstanding new restaurant, has joined the event.” John Marshall Custom Homes of Davidson is sponsoring the event.
Event co-chair Martha Strawn said McRitchie Winery and Ciderworks of Thurmond, N.C., would be back again this year, joined by Daveste“ Vineyards of Troutman.
Flatiron Kitchen is providing beers from Highland Brewing Co. of Asheville.
Tickets are $20 each, two for $35, available at the door (space-permitting) or by mail: DLC, P O Box 1952, Davidson, NC 28036
