In the news: Interview with ‘inspiring, eloquent’ Kuykendall

Davidson College’s interim president John Kuykendall is profiled in the Lake Norman section of The Charlotte Observer Wednesday, where he is described by one colleague as “inspiring,” “wise,” and “eloquent.” President Kuykendall returned to the president’s office at Davidson College last month, taking over from Tom Ross, who became head of the University of North Carolina System.

Our favorite Kuykendall quote from the interview: “I never turned on the computer during my first presidency. It was just a piece of furniture in my office,” he told The Observer. “I could not be an adequate adult human being in this particular environment if I didn’t know how to deal with technology.”
