Planners, neighbors and other residents on Wednesday walked a 74-acre site off Davidson-Concord Road where a developer wants to put a mixed-use project of offices, residences, shops, and possibly civic buildings. The tour was part of a two-day public planning workshop looking at potential uses of the property, owned by the Mayes family.
Developer Childress Klein Properties Inc. plans to seek approval for a development of shops, offices, residences, and civic and institutional buildings. The workshop continues Thursday morning at River Run Country Club, and concludes Thursday night at 7 o’clock with a public “pinup session” to present ideas developed over the two days.
