Farmer Colleen McDaniel led a tour Sunday at Elma C. Lomax Incubator Farm in Cabarrus. She shares equipment and a greenhouse with other rookie farmers. They also get advice from a veteran “mentor” farmer who also farms on the site. She said she makes about half her income from farming, and half from a landscaping business, and hopes to shift more into farming. (David Boraks/DavidsonNews.net)
