NEW 2 YOU OPENS JULY 5
Ida Amaral will open “New 2 You,” a women’s clothing consignment boutique, on July 5 in the former Amity & Bailey storefront in South Main Square, at 428 S. Main St.
Ms. Amaral says the store will be a consignment boutique for designer and brand name fashions as well as accessories such as jewelry, shoes and handbags.
On July 5, she invites shoppers to stop by for a reception with drinks and hors d’oeuvres from 5-7 p.m. For the first week of business, she will donate a portion of sales to Barium Springs Home for Children.
“For quite some time, I’ve imagined owning a consignment store filled with designer fashions that women of various age groups could afford and would love to own. This vision always seemed fleeting, until I decided to take that bold step and open the perfect space in the quaint and eclectic town of Davidson,” Ms. Amaral said in a press release.
New 2 You’s mission is to offer women a selection of fashionable but affordable clothing, including career wear, casual wear, and outfits for going “out on the town.” Labels will include Banana Republic, New York & Co., Ann Taylor, Jones New York, DKNY, American Eagle, Abercombie & Fitch, Hollister, BCBG, Guess, BeBe and more.
“Although the store is sufficiently filled with merchandise upon opening, I will also be ready to accept clothing for consignment,” Ms. Amaral said. She’s looking for clean designer or good quality clothes that are still in style and no older than 1 or 2 years.
