The planned repaving of Concord Road will begin next Tuesday, June 1, between Kimberly Road and Main Street, the Town of Davidson said in an announcement and phone calls.
The projects are part of a $4.3 million contract that North Carolina Department of Transportation awarded to Ferebee Corp. of Charlotte to repave Concord Road and East Rocky River Roads from downtown to the Cabarrus County line.
The town announcement said the initial project should be completed by June 18. It advised residents not to park on Concord Road during this work. Trash collection service will occur on the regular Wednesday schedule.
The remaining parts of the full repaving project are due to be complete by Aug. 1.
