Hundreds of festival-goers came to the Davidson Village Green Saturday for the first day of the 2-day Art on the Green festival. The annual art and craft exhibition and community festival continues Sunday, April 25, noon to 4 p.m.
At the center of the festival is a juried art show and sale featuring 48 artists from throughout the region. They’re selling and demonstrate their work, which ranges from jewelry and pottery to painting and photography. Community Arts Project of Cornelius is also offering demonstrations. And they’ve got food and live music as well.
Davidson Historical Society also is offering historical walking tours of downtown. Sunday’s tour, led by DavidsonNews.net editor David Boraks, begins at 1 p.m. at the festival information booth.
CONCERT ON THE GREEN
Meanwhile, the weekend wraps up Sunday evening with the first of this year’s Concerts on the Green. The Davidson College Symphony Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble will play from 6-9 p.m.
