With Davidson College students gone for the holidays and activity quieting down around town, Davidson firefighters responded to just three non-medical calls over the past week. That was one-third of the normal volume in recent weeks. Read on for this week’s list of calls.
FIRE CALLS DEC. 14-23

TUESDAY, DEC. 22, 10:42 a.m., 20201 Floral Lane, Cornelius – Davidson firefighters responded to assist Cornelius Lemley fire department with a possible house fire. Davidson units staged by a hyrdrant, and were later cleared without additional assignment.
TUESDAY, DEC. 22, 18:55, 216 S. Main St. – Assisted woman jumping the battery of her car in a parking lot adjacent to the fire station.
WEDNESDAY, DEC. 23, 6:52 a.m., I-77 southbound, Exit 30 – Firefighters responded to a 2-car accident with no injuries. Applied oil-dry to pavement and stood by until highway patrol arrived.
