Davidson police are seeking help finding a 19-year-old Davidson man who is wanted on a variety of domestic abuse and other charges. Cameron Regnard Stewart is free on $8,100 bond, and is believed to be in the Davidson or Cornelius area.
Davidson police Detective Steve Ingram said Mr. Stewart has a history of violence, and is considered dangerous. “We’re really trying to get this guy into custody. It’s getting volatile,” Mr. Ingram said Monday.
A police alert asks anyone who knows Mr. Stewart’s whereabouts or sees him to contact police or Crimestoppers. He should not be approached, the alert says. Crimestoppers is offering a reward.
Mr. Stewart is 5 feet, 7 inches tall, about 150 pounds, with close cut hair. (A police mugshot shows that he previously wore dreadlocks.) His last known address was on Potts Street, but he is thought to be staying with contacts in Davidson and Cornelius, according to Mr. Ingram.
He has been arrested four times this year, in January and July in Davidson and in May and August in Charlotte. Several charges involved assaults on a single female victim. Others included larceny and possession of stolen property, Mr. Ingram said.
