When the Davidson Town Board meets Tuesday, Dec. 8, it will be the final meeting for commissioners Evan Webster and Bill Johnson, who are stepping down at the end of their terms. Also, the oath of office will be given to newly-elected commissioners Connie Wessner and Tim Dreffer, as well as returning board members Laurie Venzon, Brian Jenest and Margo Williams, and Mayor John Woods.
The board also will elect a mayor pro-tem, an honor customarily bestowed on the commissioner receiving the most votes. Ms. Venzon was the top vote-getter on Nov. 3.
The December meeting typically does not include any major business. The agenda lists only two other items: recognition of Parks & Rec Advisory Board chair Sterling Martin and introduction of the police department’s newest sergeant.
A reception will follow the board meeting in the Town Hall rotunda.
