Here’s a tidbit we picked up from Brenda Barger’s Around Davidson column, in case you missed it:

The Davidson post office has a new postmaster, or technically an “officer in charge.” Sheri Cole took over Oct. 5, and replaces longtime postmaster Elaine Funderburk, who officially retired Nov. 1. Ms. Cole. She’s running the office while the job is advertised and a new postmaster hired.

Ms. Cole previously was postmaster in Stanfield,  in Stanley County. She  lives in Harrisburg.
