On Thursday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m., the Town of Davidson is hosting the third and final public workshop as part of an effort to develop new townwide Comprehensive Plan. The meeting will be in the gym at Ada Jenkins Center, 212 Gamble St. Planning consultants and staff will update participants on the preliminary plan goals, future growth scenarios, and next steps in the planning process.
All study group members, residents, business and property owners are strongly encouraged to attend.
During the past year, presentations and documents were produced by the various Comprehensive Plan study groups and delivered to the Town Board at the work sessions in August, September and October. These materials serve as the foundation for the comprehensive plan and have been posted to the town’s website. Please go to http://www.plandavidson.org, click on the study group name of interest to review the individual presentation to the town board.
Thanks again to all the study group participants for their hard work.
Draft Comprehensive Plan documents will be posted to the Town website in December 2009. Study groups will be contacted by group facilitators in early 2010 to arrange a meeting to discuss draft plan documents. Beginning in March 2010, staff expects to bring the draft plan to the Town Board through a series of presentations, discussions and public hearings, prior to adoption in summer 2010.
