A goal by Yannick Pilgrim just 3:10 into the game helped Davidson College’s men’s soccer team beat UNC Asheville, 2-0, Friday night at Alumni Soccer Stadium. The win in the Davidson Adidas Classic tournament raised the Cats’ record to 2-0. Davidson got another goal in the second half on a penalty kick by Alex Caskey. Meanwhile, the women’s volleyball team dropped its first match of the Wildcat Classic tournament at Belk Arena to UNC Wilmington 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-19), also Friday night.
SATURDAY: Homecoming football vs. Lenoir-Rhyne, 1 p.m.
