Town of Davidson press release

The Town of Davidson is seeking applications from citizens interested in sitting on a newly established Downtown Advisory Board.

As part of the ongoing restructuring process, the downtown department is soon to have an advisory board similar to the organizational structure of other town departments, such as planning or parks & recreation.

This board will serve in an advisory capacity to assist staff with initiatives, provide feedback and support for the downtown department.

The board will be comprised of five or six members who will be appointed for staggered terms and will include a cross-section of stakeholders. Advisory board members will be appointed by the mayor and town board.

Those interested in applying should complete the application and return it to Lillian Smith at Town Hall by Aug. 6, 2009 at 5 p.m.
