Tree limb falls, closing Lorimer Rd., cutting power

A large tree limb fell on Lorimer Road between Woodland and South Thompson streets just before 8 p.m. Thursday, closing the street and cutting power to some homes. At 9 p.m., a Duke Energy crew was working on the lines and the road remained closed. See a photo …
The limb took down wires and fell onto a picket fence at 518 Lorimer. It wasn’t clear why the limb fell or how many homes were without power.
