Shirley Ruth Sneed, 70, of Huntersville, died Monday, July 6, 2009, at her home.

She was born on Aug. 29, 1938, in Charlotte to the late Allison Issac Sneed and Lessie Hopkins Sneed.
 
Survivors include her son, Harold Flemming Griffith, Jr. and wife Sherry of Chester, S.C.; daughters, Tammy Ford and husband Roy of Davidson, and Rosemary Mackey and husband Shane of Charlotte; brother, Robert Sneed; sisters, Joyce DeShields, Brenda Everhart and Doris Sneed; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
 
The funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday July 10, in the chapel of Raymer Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Felts officiating. Interment will follow at First Baptist Church in Huntersville. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
