Is it July already? This week brings summer into full swing, with a pair of big Independence Day celebrations. The Town of Davidson won’t have fireworks at its community gathering this year, so if you’re in the mood for some sparks, head to Lowe’s YMCA in Mooresville on Friday, July 3. Meanwhile, Davidson’s town celebration on July 4 will move to the Village Green this year, with music by Rough Draft and children’s activities. And the week begins tonight with a Planning Board meeting tonight, where the discussion will focus on the ongoing development of a new townwide Comprehensive Plan.
